M and the Zoo

We have had a full plate lately.  Dear friends in town weekend before last, family in town this past weekend, a trip to LR coming up and Easter- I will be exhausted come early April.  But to recap a weekend back, M had her very first trip to the zoo and I think it was a success!

M's 1st Birthday Party

M had a wonderful first birthday party! We had so many people come to help celebrate her big day.  We went with a vintage feel with  light pink, white and accents of her favorite animal- lamb for the "theme" of her party and it was exactly what I wanted. 

I have a crazy love for balloons.  It made me feel like such a mom walking into the store to pick up balloons and treats for my baby's birthday.  It is the small things, right?

I was pretty happy with how all the details came about!

Her sweet birthday cake was delicious! The main cake came from the bakery, but her mimi, made her "smash cake".  It took her a minute to figure out what to do with her own little cake, but once she did she loved it!

We hosted M's first birthday party the weekend before her actual birthday, and I'm so glad we did.  The day was fun but went so quickly.  I spent most of my time hosting and not playing with her and that is when I decided birthday parties will never be on the actual day.  I want her actual birthday to be just family and quality time.

11 Months Old

As usual way late, by a month, but here we go:

• M is in a size 3 diaper
• She is so active, always playing and crawling
• She is understanding her actions a little better and tends to push limits
• She will eat just about anything, but if she doesn't like it she just throws it over board to Bella who normally is happy to help out
• She loves family- she smiles really big and starts kicking her legs to get to that person
• If you are doing an activity with her and you stop, for example Patty Cake, she will grab your hands and clap them together to get you going again
• Changing her diaper is the hardest activity in the world and the only way to get her to lay still long enough is to let her play with the butt paste tube. 
• She loves her Minnie and Micky Mouse stuffed animals and will carry them around with her
• Her spit ups have seemed to come back and that is not fun
• She is just a happy baby
